3 YEARS DEGREE

Objectives:
Theoretic and practical education:
› to identify classes and single – out individual vegetal structures at histologic, anatomic and systematic level;
› in the field of cellular biology;
› to know human and animal anatomic and histologic structures, ability to recognize the various animal species;
› to identify and cultivate species of saprophyte, food and pathologic microorganisms;
› to know the pathogenic germs of animal, bacterian or fungic origin;
› to become knowledgeable in the field of ecology, to develop abilities for the analysis and monitoring of natural and artifical ecosystems.
The involvement of students in the activities that our department organizes (scientific sessions dedicated to students, attendance in professional contests in food industry – related topics, etc.) will allow them:
› to get familiar with team work, to plan their own activities in a coherent way;
› to improve the skills to address a public audience, to substantiate their opinions, to develop a field – specific vocabulary;
› to develop empathy; to develop problem solving and decision making abilities;
› to set clear and measurable strategies which lead to their accomplish;
Professional options after graduation:
› enrollment in the pre-university education system as biology teaching staff (college level);
› enrollment as employees in laboratories for biologic, agri–pedologic, environmetal and plants protection analises;
› enrollment in medical and pharmaceutical laboratories;
› enrollment as employees in laboratories for analises related to product quality of biologic human, vegetal or animal origin;
› enrollment as employees in private micro–production or industrial scale undertakings applying a variety of technologies, in the domestic market or abroad;
› advisory work in the management of environment projects and to farmers.
Only the graduation of both classes in the Didactic Training Department and of the Master Studies will allow graduates to further apply to become teaching staff at high–school, or university level, the enrollment in doctoral studies or in scientific research..
